Metal ("the App") is built and maintained by Adam Noffsinger. This privacy policy explains how the App handles your data.
When you use Metal, you log personal records for lifts and workouts, including weights, scores, dates, and optional notes. This data is stored in your personal iCloud account using Apple's CloudKit service. We do not have access to your iCloud data, and it never passes through our servers for storage.
If you subscribe to Metal Pro, the App offers AI-powered coaching insights. To generate these recommendations, your lift data (lift names and weights only) is sent to a third-party AI service (OpenAI, processed via a Supabase Edge Function). This data is used solely to generate your recommendation and is not stored or used for training by either service.
All of your data is stored in your personal iCloud account and synced across your devices by Apple's CloudKit. We do not operate our own servers or databases for user data.
Metal Pro subscribers can export their full lift and workout history at any time as CSV or JSON files. You can delete individual entries within the App or remove all data by deleting the App from your device and removing its data from your iCloud storage.
Metal offers optional auto-renewable subscriptions (Monthly and Annual) through Apple's App Store. Payment is processed entirely by Apple. We do not have access to your payment information.
If this policy is updated, the revised version will be posted at this same URL with an updated date.
